Forum Rules [Updated 12/21/2016]

MAIN RULES OF THE FORUMS

Please respect your community. Respect each other as you all enjoy the same thing – The Game.

We encourage open and friendly discussion of the game and the Community. Moderators and Staff have final decisions on all matters, and are here to make sure that the Community remains a friendly, fun place appropriate for players of all backgrounds, ages and groups.

It is the forum member's responsibility to stay up to date on forum rules and to honor the behavior outlined.

PURPOSE OF THE FORUMS

These forums provide an area for constructive player discussions of the game. It also allows players to
help each other identify bugs and issues, and help each other reproduce and resolve them.

These forums are not the most direct way to contact support. If you’re having an issue with your game and you need direct assistance, please tap on the FAQ/Support tab within the game.

CHANGES OR IMPROVEMENT

Please make sure to stay updated on these rules by reviewing this page from time to time.

SET RULES

This is a private board. As such, decisions made are final.
We reserve the right to remove any message board content without notice for any reason.

Rule 1: Responses to rule violations
Violating these rules will result in warnings, either formal or informal, suspensions, banning, or other sanctions.

Rule 2: Respect other users on the forums
- Do not make attacks or insult other users, either in the forums or through private messages. Disagreements and debates are fine, but don’t make it personal.
- Do not attack groups. This includes professions, races, religions, sexual orientations, genders, incomes, or even vague groups like “you people.â€‌
- Do not use ill terms which are offensive to groups, do not “flameâ€‌, “troll.â€‌ or “hazeâ€‌.

Rule 3: Respect the forum purpose and structure
- Make your posts in the appropriate forum.
- Please use the Search function. If a relevant thread already exists, please post there instead of creating a new thread about the same topic. Duplicate threads will be closed to keep the forums orderly and easy to navigate.
- Keep off-topic posts in the off-topic forum.
- Don’t start discussions about games that are not ours.
- Do not cross-link to other message boards or websites unless approved by a moderator.

Rule 4: Respect the law
- Do not post anything illegal under U.S. law, or encourage other users to break the laws of the U.S. or their country of residence.
- Do not encourage users to break terms of service. This includes giving information about how to find scripts, exploits, or cheats, as well as arranging to buy or sell accounts or virtual goods.

Rule 5: Respect the audience
Think about who you're talking to. Users may be as young as 13 on these message boards, and may be male or female, and from countries across the globe.
- Keep your language civil. Profanity is frowned on.
- Do not post Adult Material, inappropriate graphic sexual content in any format, or links to sexually explicit sites.
- Do not post graphic images or explicit descriptions of violent acts.
- Do not use an avatar or signature that could offend other users. They have to look at it a lot.

Rule 6: Respect privacy
- Do not post any private emails or private messages unless you have the explicit permission of each person involved in the exchange.
- Do not post private communication between customer support, members, moderators, or administrators on these forums, or anywhere else. (This include support ticket responses)
- Do not post any information covered by a non-disclosure agreement or beta testing agreement. Even if you somehow have inside information about our competitors, for legal reasons we don’t want to hear it.
- Do not post Facebook information about other forum users.
- Do not post any private information about other users.
- Do not post in-game information in an attempt to have other players attack your target. Be careful to not cross the line into bullying.

Rule 7: Do not spam
- Do not post repeatedly about the same topic.
- Do not spam users on the forums or through private messages.
- Do not start a thread without actual purpose.
- Do not start a thread about a news story or article unless you make it clear what the story is about, and offer your own opinion to start a discussion.

Rule 8: Respect your account
- Do not share your account information with other individuals. You will be held responsible for any rules violations that occur under your account.
- Do not create new accounts or use other tricks to avoid suspensions or bans.
- Do not create �sock puppet’ accounts – multiple accounts created just so that you can agree with yourself and make it seem like your ideas have more support than they do.
- Never include your e-mail address or any other personal information in posts.

Rule 9: Respect the Moderators
- Do not post using the color red. This color is reserved for moderators.
- Do not impersonate moderators. Do not claim to speak for the moderators.

Rule 10: Respect the decisions of the moderators
- The moderation teams reserves the right to warn, suspend, or permanently ban users judged to be acting against the spirit of the rules, even if the user is following the letter of the rules.
- Do not argue with moderators about moderator decisions. You can disagree with a moderator’s opinions, just like any other poster, but when they post moderator actions in red text, it is considered final.
- Moderators have no access to your game account. If you have an issue you must contact customer service.

Generally, BE NICE. There is nothing wrong with being nice to each other.

    I'm really effing mad right now.

    Three topic I'm going to cover here.
    1) why I'm mad
    2) how blues chat ban is bs
    3) PA is Mia since Airmid left

    Ok first point. I'm really upset as to me not being able to play my build since August. I was in RM at the time and was really mad about several things like how my player getting reset even though I never broke any TOS and the hacker player were still playing. I will admit I was upset as it's not fair for anyone so I left the game only to log in and to casually dump Stan and energy till things got resolved.

    Here's what gets to me. I had my player bound B6DC36 after loosing my E87010 to some asshat that was trying to sell my account. Then all of a sudden my log in on day gives me a whole new player set to level 10. I tried to recover my account B6DC36 only to give me errors on every device I had saying "player not found". Ok so I wait till I get a new phone in hand to start at tech support ticket as I knew PA's tech support sucks. On Oct 24 I trade my iPhone 5 for a 5s before doing so I sent a email telling them I was my B6DC36 account back on my new phone when I get it. Then I got the new the phone that day and emailed them once again identifying I had now the 5s. I didn't here back for a few weeks till all I get was a email saying the two emails were merged. I just wanted to play my old build as it's been a long time since I haven't played it.

    Now last email I got and this was only the 2nd one asked all the info they needed. What was your ally code? When was your last FP purchase ect. I gave them everything. I'm still waiting since last Thursday to reply or do something. God jeesh slow customer service. You guys might have seen me post her before about this and see guys like Voodoo jester saying that he gets his problems fixed that same day. We'll folk that's the red carpet treatment when you buy FP. But even if you buy FP and PA doesn't like you they don't say a thing. Just like how blue is banned from chat and he's been a big reason why so many players bought FP early on, he was a walking billboard. So this I point 2 I'm going to make.

    How is it a guy that made your company thousands is banned from chatting? Why, cuz the guy spoke the truth about the hacking scandal. I was there during the whole thing and I knew what exactly was going on but I never went full public about it, but blue did. He's the voice of the people and even if he's not using the cleanest language, last time I checked this game has some very suggestive material. So it's not his words that PA want to censor but his ability to have movements. This game is a great game but let me get to point number 3

    The community is was makes this game different from other games available in the App Store. Airmid was a HUGE HUGE asset for you guys and now that she is gone this game is like any other game that you play and get bored of. I know this topic has more points to make but I'm typing from my phone and I really just want to play this empire battle since it's 11. Anyone else is welcome to join in and support what I'm saying, so sorry for spelling errors, again posting from my phone.

    I'm not trying to help PA or anything but I think it is taking long for the harder issues? Because I had a simple issue and it was fixed in a couple of days, but you have to completely recover and account which may take longer.

      I'm not taking any sides or nothing but all I'm going say is when Airmid was here, she recovered my account for me in 2 days. I had an whole new device also, & haven't played in months prior to that.

        I don't think harder has anything to do with it. I have two ongoing issue with them, one small and one a little harder the small one has been over 4 weeks and the second over 3 weeks now. They only reply on the small one requesting the same info I provided the first time. It's like there's nobody home and they just sent an automatic response after a couple week to aggravate your feeling.

          Sorry about your account situation AO. I was your empire mate in old ES for a while so i can understand your frustration in losing your main account.

          Normally, i never post on certain topics because i see a lot of players are making posts without having any prior detailed knowledge of the facts or are fed singular opinions which isnt helpful considering there are so many people's point of view not being considered in certain equations or reasoned into and unfortunately they never will be it seems. I wouldn't also exactly say PA is MIA but rather recent actions forced their hands on issues and we are all playing with the cards we have being dealth with.

          Devs were always on forum chatting away and resolving issues quickly and implementing player ideas within a short time which is unprecendented but all of a sudden that reduced. Why do you think that is? The answer to that question varies depending on who you talk to.

          PA needs more staff yes but thats up to them. Airmid still works with PA on customer support and can only work on so many request as humanly possible. Airmid leaving forums ( through no fault of hers considering she loved the forums and chatting with players and aiding when she can ) has slowed down response time but we can only hope PA finds a way to remedy that. Currently we have Flarin who is managing both CA and UE community to the best of his ability.

              I have to agree with you on the Airmid issue. Since she stepped down from her position, we have heard almost nothing from PA.

              This leads me to another topic. Chelsea, you noted that the devs would post regularly on the forums and respond to players ideas, and that such actions were "unprecedented." This is simply not true anymore. More and more games have the community working closely with the devs to improve their games; this is not at all unprecedented. However, what I think was indeed unprecedented was the presence of someone like Airmid. I've never seen a forum before where an employee of the company would actually post regularly and help players out with not only in game mechanics, but tech support as well. That was something I was pleasantly surprised to see, and have missed.

                      As AO stated himself in the message, he was in RM. I was never in RM but was involved with several members while doing some programming and obviously during the "Empire Chat Hack".

                      Not sure how AO remembers the events that ultimately transpired, but Blue copying and pasting the "PDF" did nothing except confuse and upset some of the UE community. PA was fully aware of what was going on and the people in that chat knew to some extent, with Sean and Max both having the "PDF" for quite some time before it went public.

                      We (the people in that chat room) were all trying to get to the bottom of it through more discrete channels and several individual emails/chats with PA employees.

                      Blue is the single biggest reason that Airmid is no longer in the same capacity as she was, which is unfortunate.

                      That's it for this post... I will be shedding quite a bit more light about RM, during this time period, soon.

                        This sounds like "soon" some mud will get thrown at RMs direction sock?

                        We are in quite a good position in game at moment and as an empire get along with most people we come across. Why does the past have to be dragged up?

                          When you say "programming" you mean hacking lol. Another question I have. Why is a self admitted hacker allowed to run free on forum, and have use of UWE ?

                          NOTE: please take no offense to my questions as I'm just fed up with hackers and cheaters. Also Im here as TonKa and not affiliating myself with RM during this thread.

                            I'm the biggest reason? Not the hacking?? Funny how that is the real issue Airmid and I were in disagreement upon. Now that I look at it, I realize Airmid had nothing to do with any of it, but to label me the single biggest issue to Airmids disappearance is not really fair.

                            Sock, I don't know what your beef with me is. Remember: you approached me about these empire chat hacks and helped me get curious enough to check out your sites. I feel if you didn't create the hack in the first place, none of this would even be an issue in the first place. Why did you target me? I'm still confused as to your intention on that when you knew all along my only intention was to expose and stop the cheating from occurring, in which I admit, I failed miserably.

                            I don't want to know you, simply because I don't like you. I see you as a coward just as you see me as a piece of ****.

                            You really are the smallest part of my day, so let's just continue our relations that way. It's much more peaceful.
