  • Calculation Errors with Class Coins

    One day, when I was finished with an empire war, I noticed something funny in the math of my class coins. As you can see in the attached image, I got 117 class coins for a war. This is including 20 which is +30%. From here I did some calculations...

    If I got +20 to 117, then I originally got 97. However 30% or 97 is 29.1. Since the game always rounds up, we will call this 30 coins. This means that I should have gotten 127 coins instead of 117.

    To find out how many it assumes that I have, I multiplied the amount I got, 20, by 100/30. For me to get 20 coins at 30% bonus, I would need to have originally gotten 66.67 coins.

    These calculations show that the process of figuring class coins is clearly broken. By assuming that I should be getting 127, I am losing 10 class coins each time. If this happens for something like 100 wars, then I lose 1000 class coins in total. So everyone in the game is just losing coins due this failure in calculation. I think this needs to be addressed so that it shows proper percentages or so that it gives us the correct amount after wars.

    I also wanted to note that I calculated this a second time including my +20% with dojos. This means that I really get +50% class coins. But, 50% of 66.67 is 33.33 coins. So I would be getting 100 coins, not 117. Therefore I have eliminated dojos as a potential source for this problem. I hope that this sheds light on an error in the game so that it may be remedied.

    Also, if anyone else has pictures of them getting amounts from bonuses after a war, I would love to see them and calculate them to know if this is a reoccurring problem.

    Re: Calculation Errors with Class Coins

    If I'm not mistaken the formula for cc is similar to this.

    A = Reward CC
    B = Veteran Bonus
    C = Dojo Bonus
    D = MVP Bonuses

    So it's A + (A*D) + (A*C) + (A*B) = 117

    Basically your looking at the collective totals individually added together. Not them stacking on each other.

    So you would take your rewarded CC and subtract the amount from leaderboard bonuses.

    That will now be your base cc plus your veteran bonus plus your dojo bonus.

    Using the numbers you provided we will take this step by step:

    A + (A*D) + (A*C) + (A*B) = 117

    So we know what D is its 30% resulting in 20CC

    So its basically A + (A*.3) + (A*C) + (A*B) = 117

    Doing the math you can do an algebraic equation. A * .3 = 20 or 20/.3 = A

    This comes back with a value of 66.66 for A. So now we know what A and D is.

    66.66 + (66.66*.3) + (66.66*C) + (66.66*B) = 117

    We can now do some math and figure out what is left over for C and B

    Lets simplify the formula first for a sec.

    66.66 + (20) + (66.66*C) + (66.66*B) = 117

    then once again

    66.66 + (20) + (66.66*C) + (66.66*B) = 117

    80.66 + (66.66*C) + (66.66*B) = 117

    Now we need to know what B and C is. B is a known percentage. It's your Dojo. So you stated its 20%. So that changes our formula to.

    80.66 + (66.66*C) + (66.66*.2) = 117

    Lets simplify that a little.

    80.66 + (66.66*C) + (13.33) = 117

    Lets simplify again

    93.99 + (66.66*C) = 117

    This is where we change the look of things to figure it out.

    [93.99] - 93.99 + (66.66*C) = 117 - [93.99]

    By subtracting the known value from both sides will leave you with the remaining balance for C which is the veteran.

    The formula now looks like this.

    66.66*C = 23.01

    to solve that you get 23.01/66.66 = 34.5%

    So now we know all the values for the original Formula

    A = Reward CC (66.66cc)
    B = Veteran Bonus (23.01cc) [34.5%]
    C = Dojo Bonus (13.33cc) [20%]
    D = MVP Bonuses (20cc) [30%]

    A + (A*D) + (A*C) + (A*B) = 117

    This is long winded but hope this helps.

      Re: Calculation Errors with Class Coins

      You are assuming that the mvp bonus applied on the total cc, after including vet bonus cc. What's ur vet level? Have you considered that in total cc?

        Re: Calculation Errors with Class Coins

        I'd be interested in figuring this out completely as well. I will post my next wars cc total here, along with my cc bonus and dojo/ veteran level. You guys should do the same. Let's get to the bottom of this

          Re: Calculation Errors with Class Coins

          Just got 159cc, 20% bonus of 16cc, with a level 9 dojo and vet 7.

          On my alt I got 141cc, 5% bonus of 5cc, with a level 8 dojo and vet 5

            Re: Calculation Errors with Class Coins

            Tank mentioned in another thread that the MVP bonus indeed applies only to reward CC and afterwards the dojo and the veteran applies. So Xcali's formula seems correct.

              Re: Calculation Errors with Class Coins

              Yes, I did forget about veteran bonus. I have Vet lvl 4, and for this to work out, that means that I need to get 117-67-20=Vet bonus. Therefore, I get a total of 30 cc from vet bonus, which is 30/67 of the bonus, or about 45%. Thanks for the help.

                Re: Calculation Errors with Class Coins

                Wow. I can obtain 126CCs without bonus and haven't once bothered questioning about it. About 170+ with 30% bonus from the leaderboard. lol
