Forum Rules [Updated 12/21/2016]

MAIN RULES OF THE FORUMS

Please respect your community. Respect each other as you all enjoy the same thing – The Game.

We encourage open and friendly discussion of the game and the Community. Moderators and Staff have final decisions on all matters, and are here to make sure that the Community remains a friendly, fun place appropriate for players of all backgrounds, ages and groups.

It is the forum member's responsibility to stay up to date on forum rules and to honor the behavior outlined.

PURPOSE OF THE FORUMS

These forums provide an area for constructive player discussions of the game. It also allows players to
help each other identify bugs and issues, and help each other reproduce and resolve them.

These forums are not the most direct way to contact support. If you’re having an issue with your game and you need direct assistance, please tap on the FAQ/Support tab within the game.

CHANGES OR IMPROVEMENT

Please make sure to stay updated on these rules by reviewing this page from time to time.

This is a private board. As such, decisions made are final.
We reserve the right to remove any message board content without notice for any reason.


Rule 1: Responses to rule violations
Violating these rules will result in warnings, either formal or informal, suspensions, banning, or other sanctions.

Rule 2: Respect other users on the forums
- Do not make attacks or insult other users, either in the forums or through private messages. Disagreements and debates are fine, but don’t make it personal.
- Do not attack groups. This includes professions, races, religions, sexual orientations, genders, incomes, or even vague groups like “you people.â€‌
- Do not use ill terms which are offensive to groups, do not “flameâ€‌, “troll.â€‌ or “hazeâ€‌.

Rule 3: Respect the forum purpose and structure
- Make your posts in the appropriate forum.
- Please use the Search function. If a relevant thread already exists, please post there instead of creating a new thread about the same topic. Duplicate threads will be closed to keep the forums orderly and easy to navigate.
- Keep off-topic posts in the off-topic forum.
- Don’t start discussions about games that are not ours.
- Do not cross-link to other message boards or websites unless approved by a moderator.

Rule 4: Respect the law
- Do not post anything illegal under U.S. law, or encourage other users to break the laws of the U.S. or their country of residence.
- Do not encourage users to break terms of service. This includes giving information about how to find scripts, exploits, or cheats, as well as arranging to buy or sell accounts or virtual goods.

Rule 5: Respect the audience
Think about who you're talking to. Users may be as young as 13 on these message boards, and may be male or female, and from countries across the globe.
- Keep your language civil. Profanity is frowned on.
- Do not post Adult Material, inappropriate graphic sexual content in any format, or links to sexually explicit sites.
- Do not post graphic images or explicit descriptions of violent acts.
- Do not use an avatar or signature that could offend other users. They have to look at it a lot.

Rule 6: Respect privacy
- Do not post any private emails or private messages unless you have the explicit permission of each person involved in the exchange.
- Do not post private communication between customer support, members, moderators, or administrators on these forums, or anywhere else. (This include support ticket responses)
- Do not post any information covered by a non-disclosure agreement or beta testing agreement. Even if you somehow have inside information about our competitors, for legal reasons we don’t want to hear it.
- Do not post Facebook information about other forum users.
- Do not post any private information about other users.
- Do not post in-game information in an attempt to have other players attack your target. Be careful to not cross the line into bullying.

Rule 7: Do not spam
- Do not post repeatedly about the same topic.
- Do not spam users on the forums or through private messages.
- Do not start a thread without actual purpose.
- Do not start a thread about a news story or article unless you make it clear what the story is about, and offer your own opinion to start a discussion.

Rule 8: Respect your account
- Do not share your account information with other individuals. You will be held responsible for any rules violations that occur under your account.
- Do not create new accounts or use other tricks to avoid suspensions or bans.
- Do not create �sock puppet’ accounts – multiple accounts created just so that you can agree with yourself and make it seem like your ideas have more support than they do.
- Never include your e-mail address or any other personal information in posts.

Rule 9: Respect the Moderators
- Do not post using the color red. This color is reserved for moderators.
- Do not impersonate moderators. Do not claim to speak for the moderators.

Rule 10: Respect the decisions of the moderators
- The moderation teams reserves the right to warn, suspend, or permanently ban users judged to be acting against the spirit of the rules, even if the user is following the letter of the rules.
- Do not argue with moderators about moderator decisions. You can disagree with a moderator’s opinions, just like any other poster, but when they post moderator actions in red text, it is considered final.
- Moderators have no access to your game account. If you have an issue you must contact customer service.

Generally, BE NICE. There is nothing wrong with being nice to each other.

    Here are few suggestions:

    EvE challenge. Let empire boss send a challenge to another empire. The boss can accept and next time the empires are close in ranking, they battle. If the empire says no, then they would match up normally based on whatever criteria Kabam uses to decide matches.

    Along those lines: EvE rematch. The losing team can ask for a rematch. The system would then set up a rematch for a later date.

    Help timer for property building. You hit a button and a help note goes to empire. Members hit help and it speeds up 10 mins. You could cap it at 2hrs or 10% of total time.

    PM all members of your empire at once. If not for everyone, at least boss.

    Smaller hourly gifts with a streak bonus. You want people on the app all the time, give them a reason.. Also would benefit the BSIs who constantly log in to use energy and stamina.

    Give the old classes some kind of bonus against the new ones. Bulletproof, for example, should block damage on the Ghost 3x hits that the log says are critical, but bulletproof doesn't mitigate.

      LT trading can be done without it people cheating in a couple of ways. First make refills a commodity that can be purchased without using them. People could post an LT for x number of energy or stamina refills. If the market is open to everyone and anonymous, people wouldn't be able to work together.

      The second would be auction style. People can post LTs for a certain time for refills or even favor points, or some other medium of exchange. Refills or FPs would be the easiest. Auction style would keep people from trading directly with empire mates.

      Another way would be post the LT, and have people make bids with other LTs. This could be abused as friends could let the player know which bid was theirs.

      Alloy for PvP needs to happen. I love PvP but have had to stop last month because I don't get alloy. Of course now I can't afford to upgrade since Hotwire has nothing to do.

        People complain about too many empires. Make it worthwhile to be in an active empire. Add tech lab drops on empire wins. Give empires prizes at the end of the season for making it in legend or even diamond. A little badge for your empire feels like 3rd grade gold stars. Possible gift ideas, laundered money, tech lab drops, scratchers, crate roll.

        How about bosses that can only be shared with empire members? Have 4 different one, a low one equal to skull soldier, then one at Mafia Insurrection or RPC, one at Templar lvl, and a big one for the guys in RM and LS.

        Think of ways to make worthwhile to be in an active empire.

          another suggestion that can be implemented into this game. rewards for buying and using fp every week the rewards reset so they can be recieved on a regular biases rewarding heavy spenders
          eg
          buy 500 fp gets a free crate roll
          buy 1000 fp gets a 2X crate roll
          buy 2000 fp gets 1 rare crate toll
          buy 3000 fp gets 2 rares
          etc etc up to maybe 10,000 fp to get a event lt crate. this will encourage players to spend big all at one go in one week for rewards this will also allow players who missed events to have a chance of getting epics like sythe or frank.
          also weekly spending rewards so if you spend
          eg
          1000 fp gets 3 energy and stamina refills
          2000 fp gets 500 cc and a crate spin
          .... you get the picture just to reward those spending big on this game

            It would be a great idea to take a vote on favorite event lt, and replaying the event lt with the most votes in a future event!

                  This may or may not have been mentioned, I didn't read the entire thread.

                  At this point, I think most old empires have already fully upgraded their buildings and are just waiting for empire drops to be released to continue upgrading. This being said, there are now a boat load of useless drones/drone parts and plutonium that people are carrying around. These could be put to good use.

                  Nuke. Initiating and arming nuke takes tokens. But what if we replace the 5 tokens required to initiate the nuke with 5 donations of weapons grade plutonium? This would allow the usage of the currently useless plutonium and save 5 people a token to use in the fight.

                  Drones. No real current use or way of implementing these into EvE war. Here are 2 ideas: 1)Advanced Targeting System- would be implemented into the silo building as an upgrade. It would require "x" number of drone donations per war and grant you the possibility of specifically selecting a target building for the nuke launch, rather than hoping it hits the building you're working to clear. 2)Surveillance- implemented into the sniper tower or research lab as an upgrade, it would require "x" number of drone donations and when used, will grant you visibility on any random opponent building for "x" amount of time, allowing attacks from the rear or middle of the board. Can be used up to 3x per war, with increasing costs per use. i.e., first use needs 5 drone donations, allows visibility of any random opponent building for 10 min. Second use costs 7 drone donations and lasts same time amount. Third use costs 10 drone donations and lasts same time amount. Each use picks a random building, may or may not be the same building as the last use, and can be a 1st, 2nd, or 3rd row building. Drone donations may seem too small but consider the full amount; 22 drones used per war, 4 wars a day. I have around 80 drones accumulated, which may not be much compared to others. I can't even fuel the surveillance for a full day. This mode would also add a new strategic advance, allowing players to make war decisions based on manpower and firepower, but also on resources and time limitations. It would also force empires to balance their strong defenders across the board rather than making a brick wall up front and putting the weak, squishy players in the back.

                  These are just rough sketches of ideas to use up the otherwise useless tech lab parts. Feel free to make suggestions or tweaks

                    Another aspect of the game that could use updating is the gifting system. NO ONE gifts anymore because the gifts are useless and outdated. Add something new; 10x alloy or a random material/tool part (the parts you need in tech lab to create things like John's gun). Since these things usually require the use of fp or progression into the game (use of energy or stam), gifting could be split into two tiers: the old gift list would be Common gifts and would stay exactly the same. A new Elite gifts list could be added, and unlocked daily by spending 50fp. This list would include alloys, material parts, tool parts, insignia parts, scratchers (1/gift), and a common/uncommon crate roll that would include every black market Lt ever introduced as well as the regularly obtainable common and uncommon Lt's. Gifting could be limited to 1 gift per person per day to avoid abuse by people with multiple accounts. i.e. I can gift 1 item only per day to every person on my allies list.

                    This would benefit BSI players by helping them get insignias and materials/tool parts to create those LT-hold items that LSI, players usually get from epic bosses. It benefits all players by helping them get the black market Lt's they missed. It would also promote teamwork by allowing the bigger spenders in an empire to help their small level empire mates grow.

                      I don't want to pay for new gifts. There just need to be better gifts and higher tiers.

                      Regardless, gifting needs a revamp.

                        Not sure if can be useful to any other class but in Eve when I'm using bloodlust any chance of knowing what %im at when I hit a victory. Not sure if any other classes need anything similar. Just when you hit afew times then come back abit later you end up losing what % I'm on.

                          1. Filter for specific bosses on the public boss list
                          2. Auto multiplier for energy on jobs
                          3. Ability to build two properties at once--charge 100 blood diamonds to do it or make it an LT power
                          4. Need more opportunities for the tech lab ingredient drops. I still don't have anywhere near enough pieces to build even one of the "new" tech lab weapons/gear yet, and I've been playing every day for over three years.

                            EvE training grounds
                            Just a wild suggestion, in empire training grounds you can put empire mates against each othee in a mini Empire war to test and tune your load outs, create discussion, and help each other grow.

                            Many ways this can be done. Would prove useful in empire and in UE community. We are sometimes left guessing what some LTs bring to the table, and during a war many times you do not have time to play around with loadouts and get the meaningful results I feel the community deserves.

                              More achievements? Like for the empire section add some for player dmg, token absorbs etc. LT fuses, items donated to empires. Battles attended in Eve aswell as won. Maybe promos bought etc.

                                Well... here's a suggestion.

                                PLEASE rework how your LT loadout interacts with EvE wars when they begin. It's EXTREMELY frustrating to have to either a) set an alarm for a few minutes before every war start, b) have your default loadout be full of HP insigs, or c) eschew the benefits of HP insigs and LTs like Gunslinger entirely.

                                I can think of two solutions:

                                1) Have an option somewhere where we can select the 5 lieutenants we want EvE to take into consideration (instead of our active loadout) whenever a war starts. It doesn't have to be an actual loadout, it can just be a setting somewhere

                                2) If you join a war late, have the loadout that's currently active when you click join overwrite whatever you had equipped when the war started. This means your HP would potentially go way up (though for fairness you should still be missing health equal to whatever damage you've received) and Gunslinger still has a chance to proc

                                That would make EvE, for me, much less frustrating. Maybe the current way encourages players to be there at the start of wars, but any mechanic that punishes players for being even a few minutes late is just a terrible idea IMO and doesn't add anything worthwhile to the game
