Forum Rules [Updated 12/21/2016]

MAIN RULES OF THE FORUMS

Please respect your community. Respect each other as you all enjoy the same thing – The Game.

We encourage open and friendly discussion of the game and the Community. Moderators and Staff have final decisions on all matters, and are here to make sure that the Community remains a friendly, fun place appropriate for players of all backgrounds, ages and groups.

It is the forum member's responsibility to stay up to date on forum rules and to honor the behavior outlined.

PURPOSE OF THE FORUMS

These forums provide an area for constructive player discussions of the game. It also allows players to
help each other identify bugs and issues, and help each other reproduce and resolve them.

These forums are not the most direct way to contact support. If you’re having an issue with your game and you need direct assistance, please tap on the FAQ/Support tab within the game.

CHANGES OR IMPROVEMENT

Please make sure to stay updated on these rules by reviewing this page from time to time.

This is a private board. As such, decisions made are final.
We reserve the right to remove any message board content without notice for any reason.


Rule 1: Responses to rule violations
Violating these rules will result in warnings, either formal or informal, suspensions, banning, or other sanctions.

Rule 2: Respect other users on the forums
- Do not make attacks or insult other users, either in the forums or through private messages. Disagreements and debates are fine, but don’t make it personal.
- Do not attack groups. This includes professions, races, religions, sexual orientations, genders, incomes, or even vague groups like “you people.â€‌
- Do not use ill terms which are offensive to groups, do not “flameâ€‌, “troll.â€‌ or “hazeâ€‌.

Rule 3: Respect the forum purpose and structure
- Make your posts in the appropriate forum.
- Please use the Search function. If a relevant thread already exists, please post there instead of creating a new thread about the same topic. Duplicate threads will be closed to keep the forums orderly and easy to navigate.
- Keep off-topic posts in the off-topic forum.
- Don’t start discussions about games that are not ours.
- Do not cross-link to other message boards or websites unless approved by a moderator.

Rule 4: Respect the law
- Do not post anything illegal under U.S. law, or encourage other users to break the laws of the U.S. or their country of residence.
- Do not encourage users to break terms of service. This includes giving information about how to find scripts, exploits, or cheats, as well as arranging to buy or sell accounts or virtual goods.

Rule 5: Respect the audience
Think about who you're talking to. Users may be as young as 13 on these message boards, and may be male or female, and from countries across the globe.
- Keep your language civil. Profanity is frowned on.
- Do not post Adult Material, inappropriate graphic sexual content in any format, or links to sexually explicit sites.
- Do not post graphic images or explicit descriptions of violent acts.
- Do not use an avatar or signature that could offend other users. They have to look at it a lot.

Rule 6: Respect privacy
- Do not post any private emails or private messages unless you have the explicit permission of each person involved in the exchange.
- Do not post private communication between customer support, members, moderators, or administrators on these forums, or anywhere else. (This include support ticket responses)
- Do not post any information covered by a non-disclosure agreement or beta testing agreement. Even if you somehow have inside information about our competitors, for legal reasons we don’t want to hear it.
- Do not post Facebook information about other forum users.
- Do not post any private information about other users.
- Do not post in-game information in an attempt to have other players attack your target. Be careful to not cross the line into bullying.

Rule 7: Do not spam
- Do not post repeatedly about the same topic.
- Do not spam users on the forums or through private messages.
- Do not start a thread without actual purpose.
- Do not start a thread about a news story or article unless you make it clear what the story is about, and offer your own opinion to start a discussion.

Rule 8: Respect your account
- Do not share your account information with other individuals. You will be held responsible for any rules violations that occur under your account.
- Do not create new accounts or use other tricks to avoid suspensions or bans.
- Do not create �sock puppet’ accounts – multiple accounts created just so that you can agree with yourself and make it seem like your ideas have more support than they do.
- Never include your e-mail address or any other personal information in posts.

Rule 9: Respect the Moderators
- Do not post using the color red. This color is reserved for moderators.
- Do not impersonate moderators. Do not claim to speak for the moderators.

Rule 10: Respect the decisions of the moderators
- The moderation teams reserves the right to warn, suspend, or permanently ban users judged to be acting against the spirit of the rules, even if the user is following the letter of the rules.
- Do not argue with moderators about moderator decisions. You can disagree with a moderator’s opinions, just like any other poster, but when they post moderator actions in red text, it is considered final.
- Moderators have no access to your game account. If you have an issue you must contact customer service.

Generally, BE NICE. There is nothing wrong with being nice to each other.

  • Upgrades after HQ5

    At long last our empire will be paying off HQ5 today. I was a little curious to see what advice more developed empires might have for prioritizing upgrades after getting HQ5?


    Our initial plan is to upgrade the shields in our Hardened Bunkers, then build the spy network, then the nuclear silo, then miscellaneous upgrades while we wait for the empire drops.


    Any advice for us and any other empires who may read this?

    Nuke first pronto. Then work on bunkers and spy network. Get shadow broker and philanthropist maxed. That ways you can make upto 4 donations. Plus get 4mil money donation going. Point is keep donating whatever you get. Sometimes might not have the items for one donate to another. That ways things keep moving along. IMO.

      I think bunkers are more useful than the nuke in my opinion...

        Yeah but a well aimed nuke can take out entire buildings. Plus with multiple donations happening everything gets built that much faster. Point is how fast can you get the whole empire to donate? We have 4mil donations and 4x item donations open and things are moving along fast. I make about 600k/hr so donating 4mil plus laundered money is easy. May not be for rest. But everything helps.

            Well we removed every building except for one and left Bobby as the last player lvl 4000 and it didn't do squat!

                An effective nuke seems to be after about 90 mins of war. Time to getting charge is so slow...
                So most of the wars, the nuke will be just for the fun of it, but there is always that 1 war in 2 months when it will actually prove a big help or even destroy there HQ pushing you a bit higher in points.
                Overall, I think bunkers shields are a bit more usefull. As usefull as additional 2000 shield can be (keep in mind that it will divide on adjacent buildings, so basically you benefit only from maximum 1000 of it until they get to the players; so maybe additional 8 tokens by the other team).
                But the nuke can prove to be a good way to show dominance and improve the empire spirit.
                In time, everything will be done, anyway. But go for Shadow Broker 3 right now, if you don't have it already. Afterwards Philantropist, specially giving you the addition items per day, is very usefull.

                  Nuke Lv 1 doesn't do much, but it does replace a warehouse with more building health and defense slots. Same goes for lab. They are worth more points if taken down though. What ever upgrade is the close to being finished items wise would be the one to focus on. And Alexian is correct, get shadow broker up as soon as you can.

                    I think the nuke is a luxury item, and shouldn't be built first. You can't aim it, so it hits a random target, and usually that target is not important. I think shields and armor packs are much more useful, so I would build the bunkers first. Bunkers, once built, help you in every battle, while a nuke only helps you once in a blue moon.

                      Shields and Armor Packs just slow down things and allow you to kill snipers and Sins while they hold onto 20+ tokens. The Spy network holds a lot of defenders and has a ton of health. The Nuke is a nice toy at level 1. At 2-3 it gets to be a bit more serious and can if it hits a good spot take the entire building down. A good second hour item if you properly place it and launch it before HQ drops or that building.

                      We are working on 15K shields now. We have one in our 3-your 1 which means 7,500 to 2 buildings. The key building it is shielding has another hardened bunker in 5 that is throwing another 2,500 now. Once that upgrade is done, that will be 11,250 on a key building before they can start working on defenders. That is a lot of demo work.

                        I'd say depending on how active your empire is how you should develop those upgrades, in the example of my empire we opted for hardened bunkers and upgrading the shields because it slows things down for the opposing enemy and because most of our members in the group either work or go to school it gives them a chance to get home and log on without the war being completely over, in the top level empires obviously that strategy would not work as most are active.

                          True true. Last eve we destroyed enemy armory ,hidden in 3 surrounded by high def hospital and hq, with a nuke. I suggested nuke first because I am assuming op has basic bunkers done. Further increasing bunkers requires a lot more resources than getting a lvl 1 nuke. Getting 15k shield sound good but getting them takes a long time. For empires just starting further upgrades right after hq5 generally the assumption is that they already have bunkers done as don't need hq5 for them. So next logical step would be to get nuke opened up as well. Then start donating to max whatever your empire needs most. Of course make sure you are maxing philanthropist and shadow broker. It really helps a lot.

                          Of course if we are getting rolled over by a bigger empire nothing really helps. But launching a nuke just to have a laugh helps
