Forum Rules [Updated 12/21/2016]

MAIN RULES OF THE FORUMS

Please respect your community. Respect each other as you all enjoy the same thing – The Game.

We encourage open and friendly discussion of the game and the Community. Moderators and Staff have final decisions on all matters, and are here to make sure that the Community remains a friendly, fun place appropriate for players of all backgrounds, ages and groups.

It is the forum member's responsibility to stay up to date on forum rules and to honor the behavior outlined.

PURPOSE OF THE FORUMS

These forums provide an area for constructive player discussions of the game. It also allows players to
help each other identify bugs and issues, and help each other reproduce and resolve them.

These forums are not the most direct way to contact support. If you’re having an issue with your game and you need direct assistance, please tap on the FAQ/Support tab within the game.

CHANGES OR IMPROVEMENT

Please make sure to stay updated on these rules by reviewing this page from time to time.

This is a private board. As such, decisions made are final.
We reserve the right to remove any message board content without notice for any reason.


Rule 1: Responses to rule violations
Violating these rules will result in warnings, either formal or informal, suspensions, banning, or other sanctions.

Rule 2: Respect other users on the forums
- Do not make attacks or insult other users, either in the forums or through private messages. Disagreements and debates are fine, but don’t make it personal.
- Do not attack groups. This includes professions, races, religions, sexual orientations, genders, incomes, or even vague groups like “you people.â€‌
- Do not use ill terms which are offensive to groups, do not “flameâ€‌, “troll.â€‌ or “hazeâ€‌.

Rule 3: Respect the forum purpose and structure
- Make your posts in the appropriate forum.
- Please use the Search function. If a relevant thread already exists, please post there instead of creating a new thread about the same topic. Duplicate threads will be closed to keep the forums orderly and easy to navigate.
- Keep off-topic posts in the off-topic forum.
- Don’t start discussions about games that are not ours.
- Do not cross-link to other message boards or websites unless approved by a moderator.

Rule 4: Respect the law
- Do not post anything illegal under U.S. law, or encourage other users to break the laws of the U.S. or their country of residence.
- Do not encourage users to break terms of service. This includes giving information about how to find scripts, exploits, or cheats, as well as arranging to buy or sell accounts or virtual goods.

Rule 5: Respect the audience
Think about who you're talking to. Users may be as young as 13 on these message boards, and may be male or female, and from countries across the globe.
- Keep your language civil. Profanity is frowned on.
- Do not post Adult Material, inappropriate graphic sexual content in any format, or links to sexually explicit sites.
- Do not post graphic images or explicit descriptions of violent acts.
- Do not use an avatar or signature that could offend other users. They have to look at it a lot.

Rule 6: Respect privacy
- Do not post any private emails or private messages unless you have the explicit permission of each person involved in the exchange.
- Do not post private communication between customer support, members, moderators, or administrators on these forums, or anywhere else. (This include support ticket responses)
- Do not post any information covered by a non-disclosure agreement or beta testing agreement. Even if you somehow have inside information about our competitors, for legal reasons we don’t want to hear it.
- Do not post Facebook information about other forum users.
- Do not post any private information about other users.
- Do not post in-game information in an attempt to have other players attack your target. Be careful to not cross the line into bullying.

Rule 7: Do not spam
- Do not post repeatedly about the same topic.
- Do not spam users on the forums or through private messages.
- Do not start a thread without actual purpose.
- Do not start a thread about a news story or article unless you make it clear what the story is about, and offer your own opinion to start a discussion.

Rule 8: Respect your account
- Do not share your account information with other individuals. You will be held responsible for any rules violations that occur under your account.
- Do not create new accounts or use other tricks to avoid suspensions or bans.
- Do not create �sock puppet’ accounts – multiple accounts created just so that you can agree with yourself and make it seem like your ideas have more support than they do.
- Never include your e-mail address or any other personal information in posts.

Rule 9: Respect the Moderators
- Do not post using the color red. This color is reserved for moderators.
- Do not impersonate moderators. Do not claim to speak for the moderators.

Rule 10: Respect the decisions of the moderators
- The moderation teams reserves the right to warn, suspend, or permanently ban users judged to be acting against the spirit of the rules, even if the user is following the letter of the rules.
- Do not argue with moderators about moderator decisions. You can disagree with a moderator’s opinions, just like any other poster, but when they post moderator actions in red text, it is considered final.
- Moderators have no access to your game account. If you have an issue you must contact customer service.

Generally, BE NICE. There is nothing wrong with being nice to each other.

    We got destroyed by a level 2,500 Ghost with 8,000 hp in empire war last night. he could aford the damage from adrenaline rush. Course i cant say any level 2,500 wouldnt have sweeped us like that altogether lol.

      I have been using ghost for a few weeks now and really like it.

      You can only use adrenaline rush two times during the war. Once 15 minutes after you join, and once an hour and 15 minutes after you activate the first one and it resets when you die. Having high defense and health helps you keep your adrenaline rush longer.

      Watch out for those pesky enforcers with deflect, you hit them with a big hit and the deflect damage can kill you. 😂

        If you can survive (high health & defense, or hide ) I am not in legend and far from the biggest player in my empire and am on the board more now than when I was a Sniper. (Sniper was not maxed out)

          +40% crit can mean two things... Lets say you have 10% without the skill. Then it could be 10+40 = 50% crit...

          Or it could be +40% of the 10 you have = 10+4 = 14% crit...

          So, which is it?

            It is +40%, if you have 10% it is 50% on Rush +40% crit damage increase.

            I am in legend league and ghost is becoming an issue with me due to the double damage taken. HP and armor is a premium so, dying early sucks. If you are sniper and get Kill Spree, you still do more damage than a dead ghost.

              I recently hit ghost level 4 and have been saving for my next skill.
              My question is: Would you suggest penitrating shot, accuracy 3, or precision 3, and why? I already have power shot 3 and obviously accuracy and precision are both at lvl 2. I also already have tag 1 and dodge 1, but those along with ghost hunter seem to be like worse options than the first three I listed.

                I'd recommend getting accuracy maxed next and the precision 3. Those skills will help maximize the damage that you will do. I'd wait on penetrating shot, as you can use it at most twice a war (and you'd likely already have used adrenaline rush, so you would then only be able to use it once, toward the end of the war).

                Currently, I have powershot, accuracy, dodging spree, precision, and hotshot maxed. I have a piercing shot at lvl 1 and will likely get that maxed before I begin to learn ghost tag/ghost hunter. I think that the last skill I will learn will be penetrating shot.

                I should also add that there are other ghosts in my empire who are the taggers, so I haven't needed to worry about learning ghost tag/hunter yet.

                  Guys, I just switched to Ghost. How can I heal when using AR to prevent lost of it? If under 200 hp, i'm injured, so I loose AR. 200+ hp I can't heal.. Is there any possibilities to heal?

                    Your options are limited. Scythe is the most helpful LT. Otherwise, Trix can help, through her proc rate is so low, that you can't even count on her healing you even once a war. I supposed Boulder can heal too, but I think that using a ghost for x'es means you aren't using your class optimally. You can also have your empire mates stim you, though this only buys your 10hp per stim. If you get low of health, armor up to avoid taking that counter damage against your health.

                          If we are talking about raw dmg output Ghost is much better. Sniper hits hard with those crits but can't compare to ghost's . Sniper needs good skills to surpass ghost dmg but sniper is better support class. Both classes are useful in their own way. I'm lvl 6 sniper and lvl 3 ghost - sniper is better in my opinion if you are like me - never spent a dime and don't have much epic Lt's - just 3-4.

                              At the time the tier2 skills came out, it was generally agreed that a maxed tier1 toon can help more in EvE than a new tier2. And like many of the tier1 skills, the tier2 skills aren't so shiny until you get to LV3 (which costs 26,000 CC in total). Since then, the consensus seems to be that and empire needs a mix.

                              For those of you not familiar with AR, it drains health faster than anything else does. The most common way to mitigate that is to have a "health loadout" that you load about 15 mins before game time. Get your health up to 4500 and you can keep the A/R going a lot longer than the 2000 or so that a lot of snipers have. Personally, I run into plenty of people that I can't beat. If I use AR and Poppy and lots of health, I can till gnaw on them well enough.

                              Fun is where you find it.

                                suppression on the enemy can help here... but there arent active enforcers around...
