    Re: Points

You also know that using higher stam attacks give less points overall? I didn't see any posts about this so I created a thread about it on the "To the Devs" forum.

On the lvl 94 bosses my 1 stam attack gives 40 points. However, my 20 stam attack only gave 600 (instead of 800), and my 40 stam attack gave 1160 (instead of 1600).

It's nice to have an event, but it sucks that so many things are broken.

No not really. I gave up last night because i used a refill and level up 400 stamina and over 600 energy and got 6 silver bullets and no silver eagles. I'll save the rest of my fp and refills for when i need them. Really glad i didn't spend on this event.

        Re: Points

The worst part is after this event Which I did enjoy overall Has left me feeling that I prob won't spend during events again to many problems I think ill just continue on with my game as normal spending to level and crates. I'm not saying I wasted my 200$ I actaully feel the level rewards close enough but I coulda done that for free Congrats to PA on the effort but I feel with the lead up time and time it took to have an event I just feel it could have been less problematic

One more thing I just have to say. Why should I have to send in a ticket for a problem that was game wide and fixed shouldnt everyone get some refills

I also just discovered that using duke yields less points than it should. 1 steam yields 40 points but the same hit with 1* duke only yields 80 points where it should give 120 as 3 stamina are used. I also tested it with 40 stamina hits where I averaged 1000 points using duke and 460 without which is a differential of 360 points.

I'm not one to complain without good reason but it is incredibly deceptive of PA to not explicitly state this in dukes description. Myself and hundreds, possibly thousands, of individuals have now spent money on this event that we otherwise may not have.

I currently have 7.6 million points and given that I have been using 40 stam hits with duke I should be on closer to 10.3 million which is not an insignificant difference.

I have only used about 150 fp on refills this event so the effect on me isn't all that significant provided I still make the top 800 but if you look at the at the guys at the top end with 100,000,000+ points you could be talking differentials of 36,000,000+ which is a lot of refills they should not have had to have bought.

I hope compensation is in order

            Re: Points

Duke seems to be working fine for me and a bunch of others. Duke will always hit x* depending on its * and the damage output varies with exception to the base of stamina hit expended. The points issue was supposedly resolved and the boss was indeed expected to get more difficult regardless of who hit it 1st. Anywho... PA would have learnt alot from this event and I personally look forward to more like it provided the thresholds remain and glitches are resolved but as an ERP Software Programmer then i can tell you that there will always be a bug. It just depends on how good you are in finding or resolving it when found..

              Re: Points

It's possible that I'm wrong but given the method by which I tested it, it seems highly unlikely.

All data were averaged from 10 trials, and all external variables were controlled for. That is to say that all trials were done with the current (level 95) boss by attacking the same sub-boss using the same weapon (flamethrower) under the same circumstances (3 sub-bosses alive, one sub-boss dead, no 200% damage bonus).

The only variable that differed, and thus the only thing that could account for the difference, was wether or not duke was seated.

Points are based on damage done as boss gets stronger, your damage done decreases therefore your points will drop.. It's not a fail by pa.. It's a fail on your build for now being strong enough

Actually, it's a fail by you. Slayer posted twice in this thread to acknowledge that is it was a bug and then later to state that it had been rectified.

You should read more than just the first post before you comment in a thread.

Edit: Just realised that you may have been saying that sarcastically given the strength of Niiik's toon

Partially sarcastic. But it is fact.. As boss gets stronger your points drop because you do less damage and slayer should be able to confirm that without giving way the formula to calculate points.. It's just like any other boss fight except this boss is more dynamic than previous bosses we've faced. And people have forgotten that

I think most people realise that points and damage will decrease as the boss gets stronger. There seems to be a negative linear relationship between the boss level and damage done, in that damage, and by extension points, decrease as the boss level increases.

If you were to graph that though, there would be a significant spike around boss level 60 when the bug occurred.
