Re: Million Man Boss Technical Difficulties

I am playing another similar game by Taiwanese, a game of building Tanks of your army. They do made mistake but always compensate players with apologize package with varieties of stuff.

I am in Asia, woke up at 3am and failed to join the boss event after 2 hours attempt. And I prepared full recharged Stam waiting for it and forfeit my stam regeneration until the next morning. I am not complaining, but as a dev, it is sensible to make compensation to your customers when the game did not do well.

I love how everyone is just wanting easy prizes because they are dedicated players .. I mean seriously why would they listen to you, your opinion is worthless to them seriously .. If you don't spend a cent you get nothing welcome to life .. Of course they are going to reward big spenders they are what keeps this game moving forward not you cheap skates wanting handouts for nothing .. Rant over .. Plus before you go into it I've spent only $50 on this game and don't expect anything expect faster levelin which is what I achieve by buying refills

Grim that's not the point.. The problem isn't that the buyers get more.. The problem is they are creating values for the accounts by their new event rewards.. It didn't use to be this way. It use to be as long as you did x amount if participation you got 1 1* of event lt... And if you wanted more you fought for a spot to get more.. Now it's completely different it's "top 800 get the lt, if you don't make top 800 eff you" which that turns around and adds monetary value to the account..

Ex. If player in rank 800 spent 1000 to get the 1* lt the. That lt makes the account worth 1000 cause no one else can get it

That you honestly think that there is some sort of "market" for these accounts and not just a very small minority of wealthy addicts shows how deluded some become due to the amount of money they pour into this POS application.

To any sensible person, any non-addict this "game" is a cleverly disguised slot machine. Designed to remove money from your wallet, and provide the bare minimum of service or effort outside of additional development time for more sources of monetization. After playing(and paying) to build my character the vast chasm of wealth disparity began to present itself.

Games with the kind of out-of-line spending REQUIRED to play at end-game is so outrageous, it is more than likely a model that will collapse.

The top level of this game, is so small and so out of balance, yet most if not all the development efforts centre on this portion of the games community, effectively alienating the majority. No vision, not even a shred of foresight or common sense, just greed pushing development.

I started my own revolucion more than a month or so ago, and the game is 1000% better, because if you are honest, the game provides little to no value, it is candy coated gambling, hidden in a very poor, spam click fest.

There is a market actually.. More than pakafail is willing to admit to publicly. There's line groups, palringo groups even websites, hell some websites will create a new toon level it up to 1000 for you
Them changing the event rewards is a rather dumb way to handle it.. However it does give them the ability to track these account sales easier ..

Mizzy you and the communities "revolution" is more useless than a blind man picking out porn. In the end it does no good.. And you're a fool to think otherwise.

This thread is thoroughly deviating and having nothing but insults rather than points been made and may have to be closed. Please make your points so we can all have a common goal, insulting other players due to a difference in opinion only gives devs a reason not to post and have the thread closed.

As stated eairlier it would really be a stupid move to put event lt on 1500 spot.

Because ALL OF YOU COMPLAINED ALREADY THAT YOU WON'T PAY FOR THIS EVENT UNLESS IT'S IN THE THRESHOLD

so 1500 silver eagles for an event LT won't do it ,as it would be a free Event LT. i could see them do a 10k-20k for event LT now.. as few people already managed to get 700 in few mins.

so if that happends DON'T COMPLAIN AGAIN.

A real compensation for the game crashing during event would be to offer all players the chance to get the promo that all new players are offered! The 20 scratchers,10 of each recharge, 8 crate rolls... the good one that we can get for $5.00 that would make everyone happy.

This would be awesome!!! Although, I can see the server crashing again just from everyone buying this promo, lol!

                            • Re: Million Man Boss Technical Difficulties

Philo's kleenex comments are interesting, but I don't think they apply here. Sure, I've put out broken code before. But it doesn't go live while core functionality is broken or lacking. Edge cases? Sure, I find that users do things that I didn't anticipate, so I didn't test them. That's different from putting something out with known bugs or flaws.

And whether I ever did or did not isn't the point. The point is whether it's common in the marketplace. I won't say that I NEVER see it elsewhere. But I'll say that it's not common for the industry. I've seen dozens of other farming / building games with a free-to-play model and a social layer. Other games get it out there, and get it right. PA appears to have a capacity problem - tho the iPhone 4 problems appear to be behind us now. But they get overwhelmed more often than other games, and the system acts like a throttle, bouncing people who can't get in.

And here's the most important key point. They are asking for it. They are taking money for it. They are selling it, and then failing to deliver. It makes them look like the B team. The past couple of months have been tough ones for PA. Both of their products are taking heat in the iOS space. They've had several outages.

It's reasonable for customers to ask whether this is a company that is gonna deliver, or not. The question seems fair. Asking it doesn't mean that you want them to fail, or that you think that the programmers or the managers are lame. Assessing the success of the venture is not the same thing as questioning the character of the employees.

Your wife's experience is typical of what I've seen with every developer. Managers have to pry releases away from them because there is always something else you could do to make it better, faster, cooler. Keep that up, it's the motivation that makes things get better.

But it's not the same thing as saying, "Hey, did you guys try this before you rolled it? Did you stress the system?" Its pretty easy to put a couple of hundred thousand hits on a test system in a few seconds. Anyone who tried to operate that software we saw yesterday would have seen the results we saw. I'd be surprised if there were not some devs who predicted this outcome. The internal arguments must have been intense yesterday.

I haven't had this much fun watching a product roll-out in a year. Pass me the kleenex.
                              Just a bit analytical.

What a surprise! Less than an hour before this thing is set to kick off again, and nothing posted on what (if any) "reward" is going to be given. If it weren't for the players, no one would even know that you guys reset the bullet count, and took back the silver eagles. Please for the love of God, communicate with us! That's simply all we are asking of you. It takes 10 seconds, if that, to put up a banner on the game....rant over.
