Forum Rules [Updated 12/21/2016]

MAIN RULES OF THE FORUMS

Please respect your community. Respect each other as you all enjoy the same thing – The Game.

We encourage open and friendly discussion of the game and the Community. Moderators and Staff have final decisions on all matters, and are here to make sure that the Community remains a friendly, fun place appropriate for players of all backgrounds, ages and groups.

It is the forum member's responsibility to stay up to date on forum rules and to honor the behavior outlined.

PURPOSE OF THE FORUMS

These forums provide an area for constructive player discussions of the game. It also allows players to
help each other identify bugs and issues, and help each other reproduce and resolve them.

These forums are not the most direct way to contact support. If you’re having an issue with your game and you need direct assistance, please tap on the FAQ/Support tab within the game.

CHANGES OR IMPROVEMENT

Please make sure to stay updated on these rules by reviewing this page from time to time.

This is a private board. As such, decisions made are final.
We reserve the right to remove any message board content without notice for any reason.

Rule 1: Responses to rule violations
Violating these rules will result in warnings, either formal or informal, suspensions, banning, or other sanctions.

Rule 2: Respect other users on the forums
- Do not make attacks or insult other users, either in the forums or through private messages. Disagreements and debates are fine, but don’t make it personal.
- Do not attack groups. This includes professions, races, religions, sexual orientations, genders, incomes, or even vague groups like “you people.â€‌
- Do not use ill terms which are offensive to groups, do not “flameâ€‌, “troll.â€‌ or “hazeâ€‌.

Rule 3: Respect the forum purpose and structure
- Make your posts in the appropriate forum.
- Please use the Search function. If a relevant thread already exists, please post there instead of creating a new thread about the same topic. Duplicate threads will be closed to keep the forums orderly and easy to navigate.
- Keep off-topic posts in the off-topic forum.
- Don’t start discussions about games that are not ours.
- Do not cross-link to other message boards or websites unless approved by a moderator.

Rule 4: Respect the law
- Do not post anything illegal under U.S. law, or encourage other users to break the laws of the U.S. or their country of residence.
- Do not encourage users to break terms of service. This includes giving information about how to find scripts, exploits, or cheats, as well as arranging to buy or sell accounts or virtual goods.

Rule 5: Respect the audience
Think about who you're talking to. Users may be as young as 13 on these message boards, and may be male or female, and from countries across the globe.
- Keep your language civil. Profanity is frowned on.
- Do not post Adult Material, inappropriate graphic sexual content in any format, or links to sexually explicit sites.
- Do not post graphic images or explicit descriptions of violent acts.
- Do not use an avatar or signature that could offend other users. They have to look at it a lot.

Rule 6: Respect privacy
- Do not post any private emails or private messages unless you have the explicit permission of each person involved in the exchange.
- Do not post private communication between customer support, members, moderators, or administrators on these forums, or anywhere else. (This include support ticket responses)
- Do not post any information covered by a non-disclosure agreement or beta testing agreement. Even if you somehow have inside information about our competitors, for legal reasons we don’t want to hear it.
- Do not post Facebook information about other forum users.
- Do not post any private information about other users.
- Do not post in-game information in an attempt to have other players attack your target. Be careful to not cross the line into bullying.

Rule 7: Do not spam
- Do not post repeatedly about the same topic.
- Do not spam users on the forums or through private messages.
- Do not start a thread without actual purpose.
- Do not start a thread about a news story or article unless you make it clear what the story is about, and offer your own opinion to start a discussion.

Rule 8: Respect your account
- Do not share your account information with other individuals. You will be held responsible for any rules violations that occur under your account.
- Do not create new accounts or use other tricks to avoid suspensions or bans.
- Do not create �sock puppet’ accounts – multiple accounts created just so that you can agree with yourself and make it seem like your ideas have more support than they do.
- Never include your e-mail address or any other personal information in posts.

Rule 9: Respect the Moderators
- Do not post using the color red. This color is reserved for moderators.
- Do not impersonate moderators. Do not claim to speak for the moderators.

Rule 10: Respect the decisions of the moderators
- The moderation teams reserves the right to warn, suspend, or permanently ban users judged to be acting against the spirit of the rules, even if the user is following the letter of the rules.
- Do not argue with moderators about moderator decisions. You can disagree with a moderator’s opinions, just like any other poster, but when they post moderator actions in red text, it is considered final.
- Moderators have no access to your game account. If you have an issue you must contact customer service.

Generally, BE NICE. There is nothing wrong with being nice to each other.

        I will like to implore all to please control their emotions on this matter. (I rather people express themselves and their disappointment in a constructive manner than for anyone to give me reason to take care of accounts that flame forums PLEASE!). I am ANGRY myself, GAEA Staff are not happy about this mess either(this game is their bread and butter so they want things working right as well) but lets hope GAEA can remedy this. Cheers.

          Are all the rewards done being issued or is there still people that haven't received them yet. Reason I ask is 4 of my accounts got their rewards but I have not received anything on the other two.

            How much time and trouble was this problem to fix? But, it had to be done. However, a much smaller task wasn't done to remove double rewards from past event. What that says is that UE rewards spenders and won't fix those mistakes, but will fix mistakes that benefit smaller or non spending players.

            Please do a better job on the QA in the future. People take this game seriously and these problems hurt their confidence in the game.

            Honestly, I rolled about 150 crates before it stopped. I got a 2* phantom, moved my 2* Crimson to 4 and 3*Joaquin to 4, also. That was it. Nothing to change the balance of power in the game or make my 650 Titan noticeably stronger. What it actually did was make me realize how pointless crate rolls are. You'd think with 150 crates you could have beast toon. Reality was that it didn't make a huge difference in my toon. A better crate might have made more of a difference to Titan.

              Someone in my empire rolled 200; every 25th crate was an epic.

                Rolled about 130 crates and got 8 epics. What really caught my attention was i only got 2 kinds of comuns and uncomuns, Saw and Razor for comuns and Poppy and Victoria for uncomuns. Make me think If rng is a thing for real

                  I think it was a completely different thing altogether. The double rewards thing got sent to the people that earned them, and so basically they got a little extra.
                  The way this happened was you were sent the number of halloween crates equal to your rank in the event. So the guy that got 1st place was sent 1 halloween crate. So if they left it the way it was your effort was negatively rewarded. Which is totally unfair and makes no sense.

                  The magnitude of the situation was also completely different. Some people opened hundreds of crates, got 30-40 epics etc. while others opened none at all. Whether it actually increased YOUR loadout very much doesnt matter at all because many others were greatly improved.

                  These unearned rewards not only undermined future rewards but all past ones as well.

                  As far as the levelling thing is concerned i think most people dont spend money to level up a lieutenant. They exercise patience and level it using naturally regenerating stamina and energy. But because there is a chance some people did, something needs to be done about it to make sure these people didn’t get cheated out of something due to a glitch.

                  So maybe set something up to instantly level a lieutenant. Create an item. Have a “training groundâ€‌ or something you can use to instantly level your right hand lieutenant. Something. While i would prefer refills they affect different toons in a myriad of ways. With some gaining 10k energy and others getting only 500.

                  So whatever the devs do it should be fair to everyone.

                    Only thing that I can say good happened is I rolled over 700 crates and due to that I can verify that the RNG stated odds are true and I will never complain about my bad luck again.

                    If anything people that rolled were able to verify that.

                      It’s their mistake. Why do we have to pay for their mistake. If you walk into some sort of stoRe and they charge you 10$ instead of 100. They are obligated to give u that item for 10 instead of 100 cuz it’s their mistake. This is the same concept. They messed up and now they covering up by rolling back. They never gonna roll back everything cuz they are not that smart. Once again why are we paying for their mistake. It is what it is. If u benefitted from their mistake. They should suck it up and move on and try not to make similar mistake again. We paid so much into this game for some bullshit Lts time after time, it shouldn’t be this way. If it was ALPHA who bought his account and didn’t get banned cuz all the money he spends into the game. They looked the other way for his case. They should look the other way also for this one and move on.

                        Yea they might give you crate rolls for compensation but they can easily lower down your chance of getting any food lts cuz they can by playing with percentage just to show. “ we messed up. Here take few crate roll or stam packs and hunting toolsâ€‌ and lower back he % on roll so we won’t get crap. It’s a game, we all know that. But they should just accept they messed up and move on. Not roll back for thousands of players for their mistake.

                          See heres the problem with what you are saying. It doesnt hurt them to give away anything for free. It hurts other players. The whole process was unfair. Those who were awake got to roll. The lower you placed the more rolls you got. Etc. unfair. And you could then say “well just reward everyone with the most amount of crates that got rolledâ€‌ the problem with this is it devalues all past and future rewards. People who grinded and spent hundreds and thousands of dollars will look back and feel like the difference between thier account (if everyone say got 500 crate rolls) and another guy who has never placed even top 2k in an event, is very small.
                          I understand how having all those rolls taken might make people feel robbed but all of that is just feelings. It has nothing to do with logic or fairness.
                          If a cashier accidentally handed you back a $100 dollar bill instead of a $1 bill a reasonable person wouldnt feel ripped off or say something like “well you gave it to me so i deserve itâ€‌ if the cashier asked for it back. This is essentially the same thing.
                          And as a side note they dont give you an item at a discounted rate because they made a mistake, its a rule to discourage unsavory sales tactics like false advertising and bait and switch.
                          This would apply to UE if they put like a promo up and mistakenly marked it at 5fp instead of 50fp. If you bought it and then it charged you 50fp then they should honor the original price and refund you 45fp. This doesnt apply to the halloween crates because nothing was advertised and no one paid money for them.

                            Your comparisons are very bad. U must work for the dev team. U shifting the blame by saying “it’s bad for other players, who spend a lot of money and got very bad Lts indeedâ€‌ now they messed up and gave something that shouldn’t have happened by taking it all back. For example if u do go to a store and buy something ( which in real life happened to me ) it scans at 100$ and u saw the price tag as 450$. They are obligated to give it to you which they did by their manager. Now the dev team messed up by realizing the crates. They have no right to take them back at least the rolled ones. We understand u realized the mistake and stopped it which is fine but u have no right to take what was allready rolled. Let me ask u. All those bad rolls we purchased to get bad Lt which we purchased. Why can u guys just say. Ok guys. We have seen a lot of bad lts from rolls. We gonna fix that or take away the 25k cash reward from scratches or banned ALPHA FOR purchasing his account which is against the rules of UE. Isn’t it? Lol guess not cuz he spends. Why get rid of someone that spends. We will look the other way. But let’s realese th she create rolls. And realize we messed up, let’s roll back. Your cashier example. YeA am honest person will return that money. At least I would cuz that cashier will end up paying for it. Is very bad example. This is a game. Those lts wasn’t stolen. It was YOU mistake and just accept it and let us keep them. U kept all these cash we been putting into this game for bullshit lts from rolls. Let us keep the ones we received due to your mistake.

                              You sound like your trying to justify getting free stuff by accident and screw those that didn’t...very selfish attitude.

                              If that was done then UWE would loose 100s of paying customers like me who would literally put the game down and uninstall it instantly .
                              Would be the death of the game.

                                How am I being selfish. It was their mistake and we shouldn’t have to pay for their mistake. We all spend money on this game. Not just you. And no u ain’t stop playing trust me I are not. All tgI we time we spend money ,Not once I got messaged back saying. Oh we see that u have gotten all back rolls from 80 fp. Multiple times. We gonna fix that by giving u another roll. Never. So why shouldn’t I be selfish now. It was their mistake and we shouldn’t pay for their mistake. We didn’t make that mistake they did so we shouldn’t have to pay for it. They should stand by their mistake and let us keep what we rolled from THEIR mistake. Once again It was theirs not ours. We just rolled what we received, we didn’t steal it just rolled what we received from this game where we dropped hundreds even thousands of dollars. Their mistake not ours. We should keep what we have
