  • Should I hang up the iphone cord?

I wanted to write this since I read Dukes comment about having "under 300 stamina and you will be punished" in the pvp mini event. I will explain my account and details. I have planned and made this BSI account for about 3 years now.

I have at the time of writing this 205 energy and 151 stamina. ( up until level 370 I had 120 energy and 120 stamina. I levelled from about 390 to 470 during the recent pvp event.)

My BSI's stats are as follows:
    I am Level 481.

    Defence seating.
    Attack : 3787 +425
    Defence 500 + 200
    Health 100 +120

    Underboss: 4* Sin: attack 179 +352 defence 161 + 109 (100/100)
    Captain: 3* Tigress: attack 131 +10 defence 128 + 519 (75/75)
    Assassin: 3* Raven: attack 129 + 528 defence +10 (75/75)
    Enforcer: 4* Ariel: attack 117 + 24 defence 109 +74 (60/60)
    Right Hand: 6* Gunner: attack 104 +18 defence 87 + 90 (35/50)

    Attack seating
    Attack 3787 +525
    Defence 500 +60
    Health 100+137

    Underboss : 4* sin: attack 179 +352 defence 161 +109 (100/100)
    captain : 4* Illusionist: attack 113 +108 defence 113 +137 (60/60)
    Assassin : 3* Raven: attack 129 +528 defence 129 + 10 (75/75)
    Enforcer : 4* Mayday: attack 62 +65 defence 52 +10 (1/60)
    Right Hand : 3* reaper: attack 113 +129 defence 102 +15 (53/75)

I have 19 epic insignia's all from doing my dailies, as you can imagine that has taken me quiet some time to achieve.10 max level,
I am building my level 9 properties at the moment. my income 333,250 /hr + 59,985/hr
    I have 107 leuitenants
I have unlocked 4/5 load out slots
    I am a level 5 sniper 20214/40000 level 3 HS/level 3 KS
    I am a level 3 Ghost 7700/10000 level 2 PS/ level 2 ACC/ level 2 precision
    win loss 120134/30344
I receive 36/38 stamina per day which I use.
I have 394 basic tool parts
16/75 street contracts (saving up for a street insignia!! long long long wait!)
    193 any gun parts
    21 gold bars
    55 rough cut diamonds
All from dailies and "feed the fish" executions.
i have spent about 1800 AUD building this account.

As you can see I have put a lot of time and energy into this account but because I do not conform to GAEAs business model I will be "punished".

I am very curious and at the end of my teathers, should I just hang up my iphone cord? It is the only reason why I carry an iphone 5 around! I am honestly not sure if I should continue to keep playing or not! Guess I am asking for input to even continue any more or not.

UWE_Duke: Some of you guys grab one of my words and make a big deal about it (like posting this thread). So I just said the truth for your case and unlike what UE previous did to you, hide the secret and info so you don't know what to work on.

I said 300 stamina or below will be punished, yes. But it is also easy for you to get a King and buff your stamina to 500 or something. For those players who have 1000 stamina, King is not that useful to them. When you buff your Stamina to 600 with King, you save 50% of the money. If you stay at 150, you spend 100% more money. It's simple as that. As to why we want to put a lower bound 300 stamina as a standard, it's because there are players complaining that natural stamina/energy regeneration is too fast so some players can finish the heists too easy.

You also ignored the fact players who have over 1000 stamina will also be punished because they won't have 100% efficiency either.

Also, there is no real point to stay your BSI like that. I'm sure you've been suffering the slow leveling and you know exactly why you are suffering that. It's still not too late to change, we've added the silver/gold job areas to help players like you to transfer to hybrid build. But if you keep adding those extra stats to attack and defense, there's really no way we can help you.

Are you having fun? Yes keep playing, no stop playing. You have built a strong toon. In the right empire enviroment, this is a great asset. Tough to beat and does lots of damage. For 4 years events were not designed for you except the PVP ones. That is not going to change.

Why not add some points to stamina & energy? It seems you got enough points on attack at this moment, if I was you I wouldn't stop playing the game at this moment.

This. Though I would add that you try adding respect to stamina and energy alternatingly, with all sp to attack so that you at least reach the minimum refill limit for 24hrs giving your self the option to not have overflow while maintaining your Bsi status.

Duke's comment was ,from what I understand, meant to encourage players not to limit their build to only one aspect because they are then missing out on a lot of the game. It was by no means meant to tell a player with a particular build that they will be punished for it. The players should themselves know that by having a particular build they are sacrificing other aspects of the game.

Add to stamina and energy to 1k. That is what I did long time ago.

Re: Should I hang up the iphone cord?

Coming from someone with both BSI and LSI accounts, I enjoy LSI significantly more. I can do more in events, I have many Insignias and gear from bosses, and I now bounce my BSI accounts. That said, my BSI accounts are still BSI accounts because regardless of how great LSI is, I still have fun with BSI, especially in EvE.

It's all about how you want to play, and what you enjoy most in the game. If you really love BSI, stay BSI, because that's what matters. If you still feel like you're missing out, I suggest creating an LSI alt to see if you enjoy it. If you do, it can quickly overtake your current account and become your main if you so desire.

The most important thing is that you enjoy whatever you do. If you enjoy BSI, stay BSI. If you're miserable, change. But I wouldn't suggest quitting the game over events not catering to BSI, they haven't done so for years.

Re: Should I hang up the iphone cord?

I think you guys are missing the point. He/She (I don't know) is stating they are perfectly fine with the build. What they have a problem with is when a dev or someone who speaks for the devs is basically telling them that they aren't building their character right.

I have a super LSI that I use to drive the thrill of Leveling and 9* LT chasing. Almost 6k energy. Then I have my main with 2k/1k. Then a 500 and 250 titan that has ~5000 defense.

There are different ways to play and basically telling a BSI that is made for pvp that his account will suffer because of a pvp event. The event should have benefited that build the most but because it was based on RNG it falls into the LSI category of increase your chances of the dice falling correctly.

Thank you all for your replies.

Xcali1985 hits it on the head very well. Say I do make it to 300 stamina but on the next event Duke raises this punishment line to minimum of 400 stamina?

I think I agree with you all though I need more leveling fuel. I will do what Mist suggested. I do enjoy my account being BSI so I want to remain in that category.

Thank you Joker, I do have a second account that is a LSI 600 atm.

Thanks to you all I will continue playing because I now have a new set of goals for this build type.

I have to say that at least with Gaea, you have communication. I wish they came earlier truthfully and one can tell they are cleaning up some messes Kabam left. Duke is only stating the obvious of what has been the case for quite some time.

Instead of creating a mad thread, why don't you just get King and the Syndicate insignia (or Enzo). You can have the best of both worlds. And you could of had it by now and be hundred of levels higher with the same base stats.

I will say... My BSI is at 220 Stamina and I got more drops in the PvP event than my LSI did.

                        ask urself .
did i build this account this way to benefit from events?
i have a similar bsi account with 220 stamina to cover regen for around 12 hours.
when any event is on i do my best to get whatever i can for free most of refills i win i spend directly when there is no event on and i dont care if im left with no rewards. on casino royals i can barely build 5 chips and on last heist i got rewarded 4 times.
i myself didnt build it to play events i build it to defend on eve .
to play on events i built one account with 2k energy 1k stamina and enjoying it.
if thats the only account u own id suggest that u create another lsi one to play on events for fun

                          Dear NerV,

Your toon looks cool, congrats for your patience to build it. It is well known though that UE way to play is LSI at least at the beginning.

Your toon is 3 years old and you spent AUD1800 on it. My toon is 15 months old, started pure LSI and now I have roughly the same stats and lts as yours, plus I am lv900. I have more properties, 5/5 seats opened and 3 times more epic insignias. I have spent about EUR300 on it. Your toon is twice the age than mine but mine could win yours both on duel and on war (and yours would beat mine too).

My point is that you might enjoy your BSI built but without a lot of energy and stamina to help you level and get the sp your toon will eventually be really hard to play with. I believe that's what Duke meant by "punished". UE is all about having the necessary E&S to advance through the game.

Well, he probably (my assumption) meant PVP event was not even catering PvP build. (Low stam and en to provide more att/def)

Most PvP build know that they are entering slaughter pit when they decide to go that way, they already knew that they will be really hopeless in terms of any event that utilize stam/en.. They like to PvP/EvE. So when an event was made in respect to the aspect that they build their toons, they would probably hoping for more lean toward their builds.. Was it wrong? I don't think so - same things could be said for people that building toons geared towards en/stam event.

Well in other note, i don't think duke was meant to continually "punish" that builds - he was probably saying "you got lower chance to complete this mini event." But saying things like that in event that related to your builds was IMO kinda discouraging. But hey, we were used to having no communications - active PR stating the obvious shouldn't be that hard to swallow.

That's what I think the OP was getting at pvp has been bsi events and the arena structure has its own tokens to take LSI stamina builds. So naturally when you see a pvp heist you think similar. Now he/she is told they need to go LSI to compete in a pvp event.

I saw the light over a year ago, but even before I switched I knew at least arena was the event I had a leg up on my competition.
