  • Information about Battle Royale - Hell Sonata

    Dear Players,

Battle Royale - Hell Sonata (5th Arena Event) will be activated from January 26, 2017 to February 5, 2017.

In this event, we have made the following changes:

    - PvP experience return revamp

This change applies to ALL future PvP activities in Underworld Empire, including the normal PvP, Arena, PvP Heist (mini event) and all future features related to PvP.

Previously, in many situations (loss, hit players too much lower level), players won't get XP return for PvPing other players. We think this is a problem.
In future (starting from when you see the arena banner), ALL active PvP activities will give XP return, at least some. Please refer to the following information for details:

    (Cost: 1 Stamina)
    Winning Battle against players
    - whose level is within [0%, 65%) of your level: you gain 1~2 XP, target gain 0 XP
    - whose level is within [65%, 100%] of your level: you gain 1~3 XP, target gain 0 XP
    - whose level is more than 100% of your level: you gain 1~4 XP, target gain 0 XP

    Losing Battle against players
    - whose level is within [0%, 65%) of your level: you gain 0~1 XP, target gain 1~3 XP
    - whose level is within [65%, 100%] of your level: you gain 1 XP, target gain 1~2 XP
    - whose level is within (100%, 154%] of your level: you gain 1~2 XP, target gain 1 XP
    - whose level is more than 154% of your level: you gain 1~2 XP, target gain 0 XP

    - Arena experience return revamp

In the previous Arena events, XP return per token was 4X compared to stamina XP return. Starting from Battle Royale - Hell Sonata, we made the following changes to Arena events:
    - XP return per FREE token (generated over time when arena is active, and daily reward packs for Rank 6/7/8) is increased by 20%. (meaning changed from 4x EXP return to 5x EXP return)
    - When doing manual FP token refills, bonus XP (1200 XP/refill, 40 XP/token) quota will be given. Win/Loss won't change the bonus XP amount.

    Example:
Say a player has 0 tokens and does a 10 FP refill for 30 tokens, he will get 1200 bonus XP quota when using the next 30 tokens.
This is on top of the base XP he can get from these tokens. So likely the player will get about 1200 + 30 * (2XP * 5) = 1500 XP for the first 30 tokens he spent after the refill.
When the player starts using free tokens, the expected EXP return will be about 300 XP per 30 tokens.

    - Arena Battle Point System Revamp: (I forgot to add this in the first version, since there are quite a bit changes made for this event)

Arena Battle Point is the battle point you get from Arena. The final battle points you get when the arena ends determines your Tier Rewards and Rank Rewards.

    - Losing to players in Arena will no longer lose Arena Battle Points. It used to lose 1 points in the old system.
    - Defensive win will still pick up +1 Arena Battle Points, this stays the same.

    Meaning of this:
    - Hitting higher level/stronger players and lose in Arena does NOT harm your performance (in terms of Arena Battle Points) in the event.
    - With the new PvP Experience System, you get player Experience as well on losing, even better, you get Full 1200 Bonus XP per refill.
    - When executing them, you get big points for execution.
So, go kill some Boss and Consigliere to show your attitude. This is UE, not FarmVille.

    - Rewards Revamp

    - In this event we have brought Reaper back with a new Skin (Death Ray) as the event LT and a new Legendary weapon for him.
    - Moved the event LT reward from Tier Rewards to Rank Rewards, so the Tier Reward now is only for event LT related equipments.
    - Filled some gaps in the Rank Rewards tiers. More epic/rare crate rolls are given to the player base.
    - Largely enhanced participation rewards, 3 Epic LTs (Enzo, Midas, Reaper) can be obtained by collecting bullet casings, REGARDLESS of your strength.
    - #1 player will get Epic LT Six + Super Crate Roll
    - #2 player will get 2x Super Crate Roll
    - Detailed reward info please check when the event banner shows up in game, which should be out in 1 or 2 days.

    * Any typo and misinformation is subject to change. New Information might be added later as well.

    Thank you,

Happy for the new event but would have preferred newer lts than older ones (This diminishes the value of previous events from my perspective ) . Some got what they wanted but i would have preferred a new event lt as main prize.

Re: Information about Battle Royale - Hell Sonata

many of us are still trying to level lts and open loadouts.
will the extra 1200 xp from buying a 10fp refill on arena help toward level the right hand lt?.
and if not will u be able to make it work ?.
            thanks

UWE_Duke: LT experience should also be scaled correspondingly.

I also wanted to make a suggestion.
Make the "reduce token timer by x second" part of gunslinger Lt work for event tokens as well? .

              UWE_Duke: I can't do this. Sorry.

No I like this idea of rolling out an older Lt. Too many people discoved this game long after Reaper came out. Plus it allows us to improve upon him. With so many Lts it is nearly impossible to decide on which to focus on.

The changes I am liking also.

Brett, I have a 3* of him and my son has him at 4. This will give us our start on the next stars for him.

The 3 account doesn't have him and the 4 account could use him. The 5 account is going to be wearing the red kool aid and be the prison slut. A super LSI that will get passed around by the hundreds. Expect to see it in Tier 3/4.

Re: Information about Battle Royale - Hell Sonata

I am excited for the rewards and revamp to the event. Sounds interesting. Is there any change to points from wins or consistent hp for all etc? Waiting for high points from ex specially now days is very expensive considering the high hp everyone has.

                        UWE_Duke:
One thing needs to be clarified is the new PvP battle rank system (25-30) does not affect the health/damage system in Arena.

I guess "the high hp everyone has" is only due to the introduction of health insignias and players' better understanding about how to form effective health load outs.

The targets having health loadout in meaning you have better chance to win them and get points from them.

Also, none of our rewards is based on the absolute points. They are based on the ranks and bullet casing, you may get 500 points in this Arena and 1000 points in the other one, your rank could be the same. And bullet casing count is obviously not related to our discussion.

So to sum this up, I don't think player base having more overall health than before is too big of a problem for now. The damage/health/point system may be revisited in future, but not in this event.

Very nice! I'll try to hold back on being sad about my reaper being easily obtainable, but I LOOK FORWARD to another chance @ Lady Vice in the near future. A 2* vice clones more than a 9* envy, it's just silly.

Though I am all for XP on a loss as it is an attempt that would gain you experience. (Learning from failure can be a great teacher.) My concern is that there is now incentive to hit far down. Before many would maybe do it to prove a point but give up because it would impact leveling. With this key change, what is to stop people from going all "farmville" on lower players? If you hadn't noticed, there are a few empires that are based almost solely upon griefing players and the community at large. I fear this will merely reward them for driving more players from the dwindling game-space.

This is the first round revamp on PvP system. Not expecting it to be perfect. This needs to happen right now because we don't want the Arena and PvP Heist to suffer from the XP problem, which we think is the most important one of all the problems.

In future, we will keep monitoring the XP system and revisit the Cash/Battle Point logic in PvP. Eventually we will make sure all the things are balanced.

About big players hitting far down, the new XP system made sure the revenge attacks will gain the same amount of XP on loss. If you can't take the beat, hit back and execute the guy.

"what is going to stop people from going all "farmville" on lower players?"
                              - If I am a high level player, I would still prefer using my stamina on bosses rather than hitting someone 1000 levels below me, the Experience return is still low and should be one of the holdbacks.

If you are talking about Rank 30 farming Rank 30, or 29 farm 29, I think regardless of the levels, you deserve to be farmed for going that high. That's how the system was designed.
