  • Simple reaper still worth all the work?

Almost a yes or no question with all of the best skills becoming useless is it still worth investing in reaper? I have it at lvl 4 precise blade and shadow strike at lvl. I was ready to go lvl 3 on one of them but I am no longer sure if I am not better served to jump to ghost who in my opinion has become the best position in the game as of right now.

Not sure about Reaper, but you are right that Ghost is the dominating class at the moment.
Bit-part low spender. LEVEL 10 Terminator and all skills maxed out.
      Working on Ghost now.

      Personal records in EvE
Building damage record (non shields) 11,211
Building damage record with shields 13,397
      Player damage 110,006

Re: Simple reaper still worth all the work?

With all due respect, you reapers are taking this splash change way too hard. If Ambush worries you so much, in all likelihood all you care about is board positioning.

Bloodlust increases ATTACK and BASE DAMAGE and stack X10. At just 2% increase, after 10 wins, you've increased your ATTACK by 20%. So at 5k atk you've now gone up to 6K. Yeah, totally useless -.-

Precise Blade, at level 1, does for you what a 2* Red Countess does for me, but better. With RC they can still dodge/deflect. Precise Blade makes it HALF EFFECTIVE. As a sniper/ghost, I'd kill to have that skill. Combine it with Ghost tag+Ghost Hunter and Plague+Disable and you'll never get deflected again.

Plague, when mixed with Disable, can be crippling. Decreasing target chance powers is an anti-Lady Luck effect. The added Patch-like damage whenever an action is taken or taken against them is also very useful.

Shadow Strike lets you hit hard WHEN DEAD. That's that ronin guy, right? With the hat? And even increases your damage consistently when alive.

Life Curse is a Scythe-like ability.

        Ambush is a Frank-like ability.

You're seriously saying that because Ambush has been slightly affected by this and you don't have so many opportunities for free tokens, that this is now a useless class? Alright guys.

Reaper is a powerful class based on the LT in your deck. So yes, it's still viable.

Reaper is vanilla compared to ghost. But realistically it's still an awesome class for players. It's the only class that does big dmg even dead. Unless you have specialised lts ghost is near useless. Even without a specialised lt setup reapers do big dmg. I would suggest max shadow skill then blood lust and precision strike. Stack up with blood lust then let loose with precision strike. You do pretty good consistent dmg. Ambush isn't the only thing for reapers.

Ok maybe I over exaggerated a little bit lol. I am just having a hard time moving from maxed skills sin to reaper and having some of the skills being weakened or obsolete.

Re: Simple reaper still worth all the work?

Reapers bread and butter skills for Heavy Hitters are Precise Blade and Bloodlust. However for lightweights it's Harvest and Plague. So basically, there's nothing wrong with Reaper. We all knew these were the original LT's designed for this class, "Countess, Midas, Exterminator and Reaper." Yet, they have already started replacing them with new LT's like Hyena. There's nothing wrong with the class. The burst damage provide by using Ambush with Viper, Frank and Countess was insane. If you're not in it for the long haul. Just go back to Sin.

Re: Simple reaper still worth all the work?

Going ghost. I don't even care about the ambus ability. Yes I have frank, countess, viper, Midas, overkill. Honestly the money it took to get them somewhere and star them up is a lot cheaper to just go ghost and get the same damaging power. At least with ghost I can just star up alpha and overkill and all that comes from just burning invasion crates without having to fuse event lieutenants at double the epic cost.

Sure we can hit big with our 4 token combo, but a ghost simply just have to sneeze a little and a building goes down. 4 tokens to deal out 2k damage? A ghost has 4 chances to do that and more. Not to mention I was gimped from the get-go. I was a defense sin.

Im not hitting for loses or constantly dead. This class is pointless to me, I can hit a higher damage ceiling with ghost at a lesser cost.

Maybe if I had reine, I'd rethink everything but that ship has sailed.

I think it is safe to say:
                    1. if you lose a lot in EvE, please go for reaper. it helps you win more and consistent damage and contribution to the empire.
                    2. if you win most of the time in EvE, go for ghost. It maximize the damage on weaker targets. This is why the TOP attackers are mostly Snipers with KS. Ghost crit% is not even good enough for them. Also because they don't die.

Answer: no it does not worth. Go for Ghost, is a much better class.

Depends on your EvE goals I suppose, our empire does better with some of each class.

Please tell me just one moment, one situation, when the Reaper is better than the Ghost.

Reaper is good only if you are small, losing against the big guys and, when they go below 1000, bang!, you get them, lol (next at 950, next at 900... so on ... ). But that does not apply to me and probably neither to you .
Its hard for me to believe they've made a class just for small levels.

Somebody was pointing out that Bloodlust can grow your attack with up to 20%. So, instead of 300 dmg, I will get... let's say 340-350... (maybe...).
A Ghost with similar skill (Power Shot) can do 20% 3x attack. That's like 900 x 20% = 180dmg more (average...) instead of 40-50, so this doesn't work, lol. If you add Accuracy (another 15% for 4x critical) and Adrenaline Rush (40% critical) then you go to absolutely crazy figures.
But, again, if you are small and losing, Bloodlust may help.

I'm not going to pass thru all the other skills and passives cause the Ghost ones are ... obscene compare to Reaper's which are lousy

Reaper is insanely useful in high legend wars

Dude, it really depends on your build and LTs, which has been said before. Trying to convince folks that one is better than the other is kind of a waste of time. I’ve unlocked both and I don’t bother with Ghost in EvE but I am leveling it up via bossing. Why? Because I’m an attack-based build and use attack-boosting and damage-boosting LTs in my EvE load out. Do I have crit chance and crit damage LTs? I sure do but they aren’t powerful enough for me to get any real use out of them as a Ghost. I like my higher win count and consistent damage. That may not work for others. Any decent empire will utilize a mix of all classes.
Been here for a minute. Worn out.
