  • Deflect vs Nano Suit

Just finished nano suit lvl 2 a couple wars ago. It seems in the description that it is a cool skill but it doesnt seem to be quite the defensive skill it should be.

When attacking i get back a small 5-15 armor returned from damage dealt, but still take counter damage of 10-40 on a win, a lot more on a loss. So really its just lowering the amount of counter damage on the next hit.

When defending 10% of a successful nano suit defend is again only 5-10 armor unless its a massive crit that was blocked. The highest ive seen in 2 wars is 47 armor gained from 1 successful nano suit proc. Doesnt make a big difference if the next shot is another crit from the same sniper that does 500 damage on a win.

Im not sure what it is, maybe it should be a higher % damage turned into armor, or a higher proc rate for blocking damage.

Any other Titans feel the same way?

    Re: Deflect vs Nano Suit

I think the main advantage of the skill is the fact that you negated the attack, not so much about the armor you gain. Keep in mind that they can't give you too much armor without making the skill op. However if you gained something like 50% attack damage 15% of the time, it would take 1/[(0.85*1)-(0.15*0.5)]≈1.3x as many tokens (this is compared to the 1.18x tokens needed if you gained no armor at all and the 1.2x for getting 10% as armor). That starts getting reasonable for the skill that you got to spend 15000+8000+3000=26000 cc to obtain.

I also feel more deterred from hitting enforcers than Titans, because as a reaper, I really don't want a shot deflected, because I hate losing 400 health on a win. However, I don't care so much about the target gaining 10% extra health.

So in all, I feel like deflect is a stronger skill most of the time, but that's a hard thing to balance.

Deflect is a great skill. But you also need to remember Titans reduce incoming dmg by 50% so even if nano doesn't work turtle does. Reducing that 1k crit to 500. Enforcers can't do that. They have to be dependent on deflect to save them. You have to consider overall skills when comparing them.

Only one thing should really matter. (Considering you are a specialist defender build) Titan is for people who are active defenders most wars. Enforcers should be for those who are inactive for wars at times.

Enforcers reduce incoming attacks by 30% on ALL attacks with Max Adaptation.

Titan CAN reduce by 50% with Max Turtle, but it's generally less unless it's a big crit. When hit for a loss, it barely reduces anything.

Max Fortified reduces counter damage more than Max Nanosuit.

Personally just maxed Nanosuit and even with that, I'm feeling like enforcer may be the better active defender. Die Hard and Last Stand are big factors too. I'm reserving final judgement for when I'm finished, but I'm not as bullish on Titan as everyone else seems to be.

If anything, Titan is clearly a better offensive class because of Bull Rush.

I hate both! Anything that makes me miss or take mass damge is not my friend. The 50% blockage hurts too, but not as bad as a nasty deflect.

Imo, Titan is a superior class to active defend buildings. They are designed to absorb a maximum amount of tokes.

Enforcers absorb but also cause a lot of damage, i.e. Deflect.

the only thing I was hating about Nanosuit earlier was when it procced you receive a little bit of armor preventing the use of a 800+ Armor Pack from Bunker. When I realized I completely dodged the attack I was in heaven! So, with max Turtle working 100% of the time to me Titan is surperior to Enforcer due to this. I do miss the multiple deflects in a row and seeing the damage it causes but I will not go back to Enforcer just because of the deflect skill.

Never thought about not being able to add AP after proc . Titans are a pain to deal with! I know OP is asking about skill vs skill. But really once it's all together in Titan its much superior. Most times I do rather take my chance of ~15-20% deflect than spending tokens that do little damage.

I got Turtle 2, nano 2. I also got 3*Scythe, 6*Brutus. I attack to gain health back. Nano reduce the amount counter damage. Typically, My health stays max through out battle if no one attacks me. I definitely like that better then Enforcer.

You guys make some valid points. I have turtle 2, nano 2 and armor pack 1. The war im in right now ive had 6 cripples done so far and its only taken about half my life, all were wins. Turtle is rather nice when being crippled, its also fun to use an armor pack after each attack since the pack doesnt reduce if used on yourself. Im not jumping ship yet, gonna get to level 5, then make the call if im going back to enforcer.

yeah imagine at lvl 3 when you can pack 200 at a time! if you decided to go full defensive thats 10,000 armor over the whole war!

i kinda wish the hq body armor didnt prevent titans from armoring teammates tho... it cant be used like a stim pack to wake your late comers up

I wish. The empire im in doesnt have personal armor yet. It doesn't even wake anybody. Just armors the sleeping target.

When I give a riot sheild to sleeping targets, they wake?

I think any action now wakes sleepers.

But as a Titan, much prefer over Enforcer, yeah Deflect I do miss. But with armour packs, Rush, riot sheild, Scythe/Viper I would never been able to absorb so many tokens before, and now and then, I actually get on the most damage leaderboard from all the counter damage, about 21k in counters 2 days ago!

Got another hour until I complete nano lvl 2. But I've gone for it mainly for the "negate attack"

I cannot say for sure, because we have body armor, so I cannot test it myself, but I think the Riot Shield was nerfed also. It started to wake up and remove debufs, but in this moment it does not remove any debuf, so I assume it does not wake anymore the sleepers.

You modified the skill, you made the whole class irrelevant. I want my cc back

It can't be a single skill vs another skill to be a decider, overall package needs to be compared. And with turtle, nanosuit and vengeance, I see a lot of tokens absorbed and a lot of counter damage given. I saw Titan ss of like 80-100 k damage at 800 tokens ansorbed and that's insane.
I got vengeance2 over 3 months ago and got veng3 a month ago. As a main defender for one of the rows I've been absorbing over 200 tokens pretty regularly but have never seen vengeance working(not suppression, not fortified etc). It either doesn't work at all for me or it resets after every health pack used(what'd make this skill completely useless unless you have 20k eve health)
