    Re: Ghost or Reaper

I would still say demo and assassin are the best choice for low level. Reaper inherits some assassins nature and I think should be good for low levels too. Terminator currently just not good for low level guys to do demo. Damage is okay.

Picking ghost or assassin also depends on what targets you usually hitting. If you win most of the time, maybe ghost but you need some extra health. If you lose a lot, pick reaper coz it helps you win.

      Re: Ghost or Reaper

If you really want to pick between these two class Reaper would be more fitting for low level.Shadow Strike is suited for low level. If you are defeat you can still do damage. And executing is better then you actually hitting people you can't win. Ghost I find more diffcult because skills require higher health.

Check out the thread from General Discussion

Although some bashing is going on there, I think that these are the most relevant info:

There's nothing wrong with the class. The burst damage provide by using Ambush with Viper, Frank and Countess was insane. If you're not in it for the long haul. Just go back to Sin.

Reaper is good only if you are small, losing against the big guys and, when they go below 1000, bang!, you get them, lol (next at 950, next at 900... so on ... ). But that does not apply to me and probably neither to you .
Its hard for me to believe they've made a class just for small levels.

Somebody was pointing out that Bloodlust can grow your attack with up to 20%. So, instead of 300 dmg, I will get... let's say 340-350... (maybe...).
A Ghost with similar skill (Power Shot) can do 20% 3x attack. That's like 900 x 20% = 180dmg more (average...) instead of 40-50, so this doesn't work, lol. If you add Accuracy (another 15% for 4x critical) and Adrenaline Rush (40% critical) then you go to absolutely crazy figures.
But, again, if you are small and losing, Bloodlust may help.

I'm not going to pass thru all the other skills and passives cause the Ghost ones are ... obscene compare to Reaper's which are lousy

Ghost is indeed a great class. It was designed to deal really big damage. The issue is that to do it you have to win. If you take a defeat, you're ish out of luck. This is why ideally, the strongest attackers in your empire should be Ghosts. They deal massive damage, but are very vulnerable, and are straight-up attackers. This means there's no sideways advantage to help you win. You either win and do big damage or lose and take big damage. Ghosts/Snipers have always had the greater offensive responsibilities in an empire. Win or lose, ghosts/snipers are expected to be the main attackers and bring down opponents' health to decap range. That's the main responsibility, as I've always understood it, of the sniper/ghost class. If you're a straight-up attacker, you should be sniper/ghost. Being sniper is really beneficial if you're a mid-to-low strength attacker in your empire. If you're a top dog in your crew, you should probably go ghost.

Reaper is more of a sideways class. It doesn't do as much damage, but, like assassin before it, it has all these little neat tricks that let it win when it shouldn't. You still have to have some strength, but not nearly as much as ghost. You can choose to be more strategic, "sneaky," and sort of pick your spots. Increasing attack, dealing more damage when dead, diminishing opponents' chance skills, these are the kinds of sneaky things that reapers do. Extra tokens, too, but I never thought of that as the main focus of the class, which is why I had such a negative reaction to all the complaining about the splash change. To me it seemed like ambush really shouldn't be the main focus of a class. There are so many other good things about the reaper class, seriously, y'all, I'm not just saying this to be a douche. Precise Blade alone is an incredible skill. I understand you all feeling a certain way about a skill's effectiveness being changed a bit - I probably would be miffed too if Dodging Spree was affected somehow - but I also think that saying the whole class has been made completely useless is going overboard.

Both classes are really very good. I am a ghost because I have always taken the responsibility of taking down the opposing empire's biggest defenders, win or lose. That's who I am, I attack. There are others who prefer to take as few losses as possible and like having a different kind of advantage, and still want to help the team. There are many different ways of playing the game.

To be clear, I'm not saying reapers can't be main attackers. The game is designed so that you can take the path you want, build-wise, and play it however you want. I understand Ambush was affected, but let's be fair - it was not completely eliminated, and it's not the only skill that makes it worth it having reaper
So its up to you to decide. If you have strong lts with high critical chance and high critical damage, Ghost is the path. If you are somehow lower and a lot of your hits are defeats, go for Reaper.

What is your health? If you have under 3K EvE, you will die too quickly using adrenaline rush to be very effective.
